Since studying Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, Julia's work as a painter has woven a path between landscape, interiors and still life. Her love of colour has always been at the forefront of her work, stimulated by travels to Africa, North America and Mexico, culminating in a painting scholarship to North Yemen.
In the 1993, Julia moved from London to Farnham with her husband and 3 young sons, and her interest in landscape grew. Much inspiration was gained by walks in and around Frensham Pond, and Alice Holt Forest and along the hidden River Wey.
In 2004 the family moved to Kiln Farm in the Lower Bourne, where she has converted an old milk parlour into a light and airy studio, workshop and exhibition space. As well as developing her own work, and working on commissions, she also runs painting classes and short courses .
